Andela is here to support you if you need access to work tools such as a laptop. We offer two options: a loaner unit(where available and subject to availability) or a cash advance. Loaner units are available for technologists located in Nigeria, Kenya, Uganda, Egypt, or Rwanda.
Loaner unit circumstances
A loaner laptop can be provided under the following circumstances:
- Non-standard or incompatible device: If your current laptop doesn't meet our BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) standards or the client's requirements, a loaner will be issued temporarily until you can purchase a compliant device.
- Financial constraints: If you cannot purchase a laptop immediately for your client engagement, we can provide a temporary one.
- Laptop theft: If your laptop is stolen and you cannot buy a new one right away, a loaner can be issued as a temporary solution while you are on an engagement.
How to request a loaner unit (only for Nigeria, Kenya, Uganda, Egypt, or Rwanda)
To request a loaner unit, submit a request for a temporary laptop explaining why you need one. A Talent Success manager will liaise with the IT team in your country. They will inform you of the location, date, and time for collection and the contact details of the IT representative you'll work with.
Cash advance option
If you're located outside of Nigeria, Kenya, Uganda, Egypt, or Rwanda, you can request a cash advance to help with the purchase of a laptop.
