Sophos endpoint protection set up

Follow the instructions below to set up your Sophos Endpoint protection software.

1. Click on the corresponding installer; Mac OS X for MacBooks and Windows for Windows devices:
2. Navigate to your downloads and locate the installer file -  SophosInstall.zip
   • To unzip, simply double click the file - this creates a new folder - SophosInstall
3. Click to open and proceed to install by double clicking Sophos Installer
4. On the warning prompt, click Open
5. On the permission prompt, click OK
6. Click on Install and enter your device password when prompted.
7. Click on Install Helper to proceed
8. Download the endpoint update - roughly 10 minutes depending on your network speed
9. It’ll install once previous download is complete.
10. The next prompt warns about installed Sophos extensions being blocked. To allow, click on Open Security Preferences as seen below
11. On the Security Preferences window, click on the Padlock icon to unlock (bottom left hand corner) , and enter your device password accordingly.
12. Once unlocked, Click on Allow (single downward arrow).
13. Close the System Preferences window and Select Allow on the Sophos Endpoint UISErver Notification as shown below.
14. A successful installation returns the prompt below, and installation is complete.
