Our referral program has two tracks, based on the type of work your referral is looking for:

- Flex roles
Who can I refer for standard roles?
We are currently looking for senior-level talent with 5+ years of professional experience within the following core stacks:
- Gen AI Engineers: Expertise in LLMs and RAG
- Data Engineers: Databricks-certified or equivalent (highly beneficial)
- Software Architects: Strong Java background (and other core stacks)
- Azure DevOps specialists
- Python software engineers (AI/ML focused)
Who can I refer for Flex roles?
We are seeking technologists and specialists for flexible, human-in-the-loop data training, RLHF, and AI quality assurance work.
What makes a successful referral?
A successful referral is one that:
- Successfully completes all assessments in our recruiting processes
- Joins the Andela Talent Cloud network
- Begins their first engagement within twelve (12) months of joining the network
- Spends more than thirty days working on their first client engagement
- Successfully onboards onto an active data training project. (Flex roles)
- Completes their first three (3) accepted tasks. (Flex roles)
Referral bonus structure
The payout schedule depends on the type of engagement the referred talent starts:
- Standard Engagements (6+ months): $500 after Month 1 and $500 after Month 6.
- Short-term Engagements (3–5 months): $500 after Month 1 and a $500 "carry-over" payout after Month 1 of their second engagement (if within 1 year of joining).
- Short-term Engagements (1–3 months): A single $500 payout after Month 1.
Pro-tip: Make sure to claim your bonus or ask questions within 12 months of your friend’s start date! We can’t process payouts for referrals older than a year, so don't wait too long to reach out.
For Flex roles, there is a fixed reward of $200 USD after your referral completes three accepted tasks. Your $200 bonus will be processed automatically after your referral completes their first 3 accepted tasks.
How can I refer someone?
- Complete the Andela Referral Form with your referred technologist's full name, email address, and skill. Note that you (the referrer), not your friend, should be the one filling out this form.
- Our Talent Operations team will cross-check your submission against our placed technologist data to confirm that the details match.
- Once your referred technologist has been placed, email us at talent-operations@andela.com to let us know, so we can process your referral bonus.
