Below are the rules for referring a technologist to the Andela network:
- All Andela community technologists can refer candidates.
- Referral bonuses will be paid on the 5th of every month for every new successful referral into the network that begins their first engagement and completes more than thirty days working with the client. (Example: if the engineer you referred begins an engagement on May 20th, and they are still working with the client 30 days later past June 19th, then the referral bonus would be paid out on July 5th)
- You can only receive a referral bonus if the referred technologist starts their first engagement within 12 months of joining the network.
Refer a technologist who meets our current criteria for senior-level talent (5+ years of experience) in our core stacks, such as Gen AI, Data Engineering, Software Architecture (Java), Azure DevOps, and Python (AI/ML).
- There is no cap on the number of referrals you can present.
- The first referrer will receive the referral bonus if two or more people refer the same candidate.
- You are eligible for a referral bonus only when you refer external candidates (technologists who have yet to apply and are not yet in the Andela Talent Network).
- Please note that in some scenarios where an engineer who referred someone is not currently on an engagement with a client, Hoppier Cards may be given in the amount specified in place of cash, given certain restrictions with transfers to some countries. However, every effort will be made to ensure this is given as a cash payout where possible.
One-year claim limit: Please reach out to our support team within 12 months of your referral’s eligibility date if you have any payout questions. We’re unable to process bonus claims for any referrals that occurred more than a year before the date of your request.
