Contract renewal process: What you can expect

We regularly review engagement contracts, at least once a year, with the goal of renewal. When it's time to assess your contract for renewal, here’s what may happen:

  1. Contract renewal for current engagements:
If you’re still actively working with your client and there haven’t been any performance concerns, your contract will be renewed based on the client’s overall feedback.
  2. End of client engagement
If a client engagement ends due to factors such as changes in their roadmap, internal reorganization, or financial concerns, two scenarios may occur:
      • Scenario 1: If another assignment matches your skill set, you’ll have the chance to transition to a new client team immediately, and a new Statement of Work (SOW) will be signed.
      • Scenario 2: If no immediate assignments are available, you’ll return as a valued Andela community network member and be granted higher priority for future opportunities.
  3. Ending a contract from your end
If you’re considering stepping away from your current project, we ask for a 30-day notice unless otherwise specified in your contract. For more guidance, read our article on how to exit your engagement gracefully.

We are here to support you through every stage of this process and ensure a seamless transition, whether you’re continuing with your current client or exploring new opportunities!
