Device Security

For all Andelans, we advise you to secure your device as follows:

  • Use strong passwords with at least eight characters, including special characters.
  • Avoid using the same password across multiple platforms.
  • If you must reuse a password, create variations and store them securely using a password manager.
  • Always combine letters, numbers, and special characters to create a strong, alphanumeric password.
  • Avoid easily guessable information such as your birthdate, phone number, or card number.

    • Enable screen lock on all mobile devices (phones, tablets, etc).
    • Follow best practices for connectivity. Avoid unsecured networks and unauthorized devices.
    • Only connect to Wi-Fi networks that require a password.
