Avoiding disqualification: Guidelines for applicants

Welcome to Andela! We’re excited to have you apply to our network. To ensure a smooth and positive application experience, please take a moment to review our application requirements and the guidelines below to avoid actions that could lead to disqualification.

Reasons for disqualification

Here are some situations that could lead to the permanent disqualification of your application:

  • Creating multiple profiles: We allow one application per person. Creating multiple profiles to increase your chances of selection is considered dishonest and not allowed. If we detect multiple accounts in our system, all related applications will be deactivated, and you may be banned from applying in the future.
  • Getting external help: Our application process is crafted to measure your individual skills and knowledge. Your application must be entirely your own work to maintain a fair and equitable process. Getting help from others is strictly prohibited.
  • Impersonation: Applying on behalf of someone else or misrepresenting your identity is strictly prohibited. Impersonating another person, whether to use their credentials, experience, or qualifications, is considered a severe breach of trust and never allowed.
  • Unprofessional behavior: Any behavior deemed as offensive, disrespectful, or inappropriate during the application process, including communications with our staff, will not be tolerated. This includes rude language, threats, harassment, or any form of discrimination. Such actions reflect negatively on your suitability for Andela and will result in disqualification.
  • Plagiarism: Plagiarism is a serious offense. Copying or using someone else’s work, ideas, or content, including AI-generated material, is not allowed. All application materials must be original and your own.

What happens if my application is disqualified?

If your application is disqualified, it will be noted accordingly, which may prohibit you from applying with us in the future.

Ways to avoid disqualification

To stay on track and ensure a successful application:

  1. Follow the rules: Make sure to read and follow our application requirements and avoid the situations listed above.
  2. Be patient: If you don’t pass a test, you are welcome to reapply after 90 days. We highly recommend using this time to study and enhance your skills between application attempts. Avoid creating a new application to get around this requirement.
  3. Seek support: If you face any issues, whether technical or otherwise, reach out to our support team for help. Again, please avoid creating a new application or taking other unauthorized actions as listed above.

We hold true to our EPIC values and believe in maintaining fairness and integrity throughout the application process. By following these guidelines, you help maintain the quality and trustworthiness of our network while protecting your own eligibility.

Good luck, and we’re rooting for your success!
