Finding roles: Five tips to maximize your matching potential

Here are five tips to help you maximize your placement potential:

  1. Update your profile with all your relevant experience. Our matching team shares your profile directly with clients. If your profile is incomplete, this may be hindering your matching potential. Refer to How to create a stellar profile for more guidance.
  2. Set your job search status as “actively looking.” This status indicates to our matchers that you are ready and available for an engagement.
  3. Apply to roles that fit your technical experience and professional background by clicking “start a conversation with a recruiter.” Before applying, ensure that you meet the basic requirements for the role; otherwise, the matcher may not be able to consider you for it. This action is not necessary to be matched, but it does flag your interest in a specific role.
  4. Expand your search by setting the filter to ‘all jobs’ and checking back in regularly. Our client team works behind the scenes every day to bring you new roles with diverse needs and new verticals. The perfect job for you may be just a few days away. 
  5. Engage with the community! This is the best way to make the most of your time as an Andelan. The community is a space to expand your professional network and invest in your professional development.
