How is the Kubernetes program structured?

Welcome to the Kubernetes African Developer Training Program — we’re thrilled to have you on board!

This program is designed to guide you step-by-step toward earning your KCNA (Kubernetes and Cloud Native Associate) certification. To help you stay on track, we’ve outlined the entire journey below so you know exactly what to expect and what to focus on at each stage.

🚀 Program structure: step-by-step

Here’s how we’ve structured the program:

  1. Complete the readiness form: After receiving your congratulatory program invitation, this is the first step to officially confirm your interest and eligibility. Once submitted, we’ll process your details and prepare your course voucher.
  2. Receive your LFS250 course voucher: After your readiness form is reviewed, you’ll be emailed a voucher to start the LFS250: Kubernetes and Cloud Native Essentials course. This is typically sent out weekly on Thursdays.
  3. Complete the LFS250 course: Work through the course at your own pace, but aim to stay consistent. This course provides the foundation you'll need to succeed on the certification path.
  4. Receive a link to the mock assessment: Once you finish LFS250, you’ll get access to a mock exam that simulates the real KCNA experience. It’s a great way to practice under test-like conditions. This is typically sent out weekly on Mondays
  5. Score 80% or Higher? Receive Your KCNA Exam Voucher: If you pass the mock exam with a score of 80% or above, you’ll be sent a voucher to register for the official KCNA certification exam. This is typically sent out weekly on Fridays.

Each step is important, and we’re here to support you along the way. If you ever feel stuck or have a question, don’t hesitate to contact us at kubernetes.program@andela.com.
