You’ll receive an email from Andela with a link to our partner site, where you’ll need to submit a request for a quote directly with them. Our partner will get back to you within 2-3 business days. If you don’t hear back, feel free to shoot us a message, and we’ll look into it for you.

  • Is Andela covering the premiums for health insurance? 

This is not a direct benefit that Andela is covering; this is an offering we’ve brought exclusively to our network of Andelans. We’ve worked hard to create competitive, readily available healthcare options with industry-trusted providers, so you have the necessary tools and resources to meet your professional and personal needs. 

  • Am I responsible for covering the premium payment?

Yes. Andela is working hard to find the most reliable providers and cost-competitive partners in each country where we have amazing Andelans like you. While we are working hard to find providers that will offer you the best coverage at the best terms, such as zero-cost financing options. However, this relationship is ultimately between you and the insurance provider.

  • How long will it take for my insurance coverage to take effect?

Once Andela receives your information above, we will follow up with the next steps specific to the insurance provider in your country, such as an email with a link to the provider’s enrollment portal. From there, you will work directly with the provider, who will collect additional details needed to provide the right options for you, help you to select a plan, and set up your preferred payment method. Depending on your country and provider, your coverage could be live in as little as two weeks.

  • Can I buy coverage for my family members as well?

Depending on your country and provider, you will be able to add coverage for any dependents either in the initial form or at the time when you speak with one of our partner’s sales agents.

  • When do I find out the specific underwriter of my insurance plan?

In certain countries, we are working with third-party insurance brokers who act as intermediaries to find you the most competitive and appropriate plan for your specific coverage needs. When you speak with a sales agent, they will be able to provide you with the underwriter behind a specific plan option.
