Talent Connect Mentorship program

The Community team is calling for volunteer Talent Connect Mentors to lead weekly Talent Connect sessions, which are held for Andelans joining a new client engagement. The Community team schedules these sessions and invites mentors to speak with Andelans who have little or no prior knowledge of working with Andelan clients and share tips on being successful on an engagement.

These sessions are held via Zoom and have helped improve the client-technologist onboarding experience for mentees. They have also provided mentees with insights into what to expect during their client journey and how to plan to achieve optimum performance. Ultimately, they have created a safe space for answers to burning questions before mentees kick off their opportunity.

Who are Talent Connect Mentors?

Talent Connect Mentors are:

  • Passionate and enthusiastic about Andela
  • Worked or are currently working with an Andela client
  • Motivated to share their experience/knowledge on their client onboarding experience and technical journey with their client
  • Supportive and offer responses to any questions asked by mentees via calls or Andela Chat
  • Open to volunteering 45 minutes a month via Zoom for mentorship sessions

What are the benefits of being a Talent Connect Mentor?

Through the program, you will:

  • Learn about your unique strengths, values, and Andela story and how they relate to your purpose and the change you want to create
  • You will develop your mentorship, presentation, communication, and networking skills
  • You will have the opportunity to meet and network with other like-minded Andelans from around the world

Please note: All volunteers will be invited to a training session and will be provided with talking points and materials to guide them in leading mentorship sessions

If you have more questions, please submit a request to the support team or send an Andela Chat message directly to Nicola Lyons or Feji Ikogho.
