Medical Insurance

  • Medical Coverage: A medical care package as determined by Andela for a maximum of one spouse and 2 kids.
  • Medical cards will be delivered within your two first weeks in andela
  • Our current medical provider in Egypt is Allianz

Partner roll-off process

If you are rolling off of your current partner engagement, you will start to actively work with the Talent Solutions team on your next placement. Based on our contract structures, we will aim to provide 30-90 days notice of your expected roll off date. 

  • New Engagement: If there is a new engagement immediately available which matches your skill-set, you will move onto this engagement with no change. 
  • Transition to the Network: If there is not an assignment available, you will be given the option to convert to a contractor status and become a member of Andela’s Talent Network. The Talent Solutions team will continue to look for engagements  for you, and you will be first in line to be considered for new opportunities.
  • Partner Churn Casese: andela make sure to Issue a proper notice depending on the contract type and location and will ensure to comply with local labor laws.

Leave Policy

  • Annual Leave - 21 Days & 30 days for 10 year experience)
  • Public Holidays
  • Maternity (90 days) - Paternity Leave (7 days)
  • Sick Leave (90 days with 75% of the payment & 90 days with 85% of the payment)

Ensure your leave and all out of office (OOO) days are captured on Workday.

4 Weeks in advance to your supervisor.

Requests that exceed 8 consecutive days, submit a request at least 8 weeks in advance.

Out of office notification to stakeholders (OOO).

Payment Policy

  • Andela Payment Cycle closes on 10th of each month; so any change happens after 10th of the month will be reflected in next payment cycle.

  • Payments are paid on 25th of the month.

  • We transfer the rate on the bank account you submit in Workday. ( we need bank account number, Swift code in order to do the salary transfer and IBAN).

  • Andela can facilitate opening bank account for you in HSBC egypt If you prefer so.

  • Police Clearance Certificate (Police Record)
  • Birth Certificate (Original)
  • Army Status Certificate (Males only)
  • Experience Letters (from the last employer is a must)
  • Form 6 (Social insurance )
  • Work permit from the labor office.
  • If Married we need Pictures for your (Spouse + 2 Kids ) & their full names + Date of birth for medical insurance cards.
